OPOLE CITY TOURIST INFORMATION ****

The Municipal Tourist Information Center (MIT) is located in the Opole Market Square, on the Alley of Polish Song Stars.

At the MIT headquarters, you can comfortably sit and obtain information on all topics

related to Opole or use the computer stations with internet access. The space has been designed to reflect Opole's greatest attractions through its architecture. Hence, one wall features a replica of the Piast Tower and a magnificent view of the illuminated Młynówka. Tourists can purchase free publications about the city: a city map with monuments, attractions and accommodation options in Polish and several foreign languages, as well as guidebooks, business cards with Opole's cultural institutions and brochures.

The office sells souvenirs and publications about Opole. The MIT in Opole is a winner of the national competition for the Best Tourist Information Center in Poland. In the category of tourist information certified with four stars, the Municipal Tourist Information Center in Opole won third place, thus being incorporated into the Polish Tourist Information System. The assessment was conducted by the Regional Certification Committee at the Opole Regional Tourist Organization.

A four-star rating means that the Municipal Tourist Information Center in Opole met all certification requirements, including:

excellent location,

appropriate appearance, functionality and aesthetics of the interior,

accessibility for tourists, including those with disabilities,

opening hours adapted to the needs of the tourist industry,

staff qualifications, including knowledge of foreign languages,

an appropriately extensive database of information about the city and its events ,

provision of a wide range of information and promotional materials.

During the summer season from May to September from 10.00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and from 10.00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Out of season (October to April) from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
