RURAL REGIONAL CHAMBER IN LIGOTA TURAWSKA

The Rural Regional Chamber was established in 2004 in Ligota Turawska on the private property of the Panicz family. Over the years the collection grew and in 2013 the exhibits were moved to a new building, located in the fire station of the Ligota Turawska fire brigade. The new premises have been renovated and made available for museum use. The Chamber was officially opened in May 2013.

Its main goal is to save mementos of the past from destruction. Inside,

visitors can see various everyday items, including beautiful old cupboards, beds, cradles, chests of drawers, table linen, clocks, lamps, reel-to-reel tape recorders, books and paintings. The kitchen accessories are particularly interesting. Visitors to the Chamber can see a variety of unusual items that have not been in use for a long time. These include a berry picker, a special bean slicer, a potato grater, and a manual coffee grinder. Of particular note is the exhibition of folk handicrafts, including hand-embroidered napkins and tablecloths, beautiful harvest crowns, and Easter decorations made using various techniques. Visitors to the mini museum can find unique equipment used in field work and related to rural crafts, including accessories for baking bread, churning butter, or a saddlemaker's bench. There, you can learn about the history of the town, its customs and traditions, and see what life was like for its former inhabitants.
