MUSEUM OF THE KOŹLE REGION IN KĘDZIERZYN-KOŹLE

A museum dedicated to the history of the Koźle Region, with extensive archaeological, ethnographic and historical collections. It is located on the grounds of the refurbished former castle of the Koźle Piasts. Its most valuable monument is a residential and defensive tower from the 13th century, a unique relic in Poland, which is a remnant of the residence of the rulers of Koźle. The multimedia exhibition encourages interactive exploration, during which visitors have the opportunity to decide what content is displayed. The telephone switchboard, which contains recordings of the memories of the inhabitants of the Koźle Region, is

particularly popular. Another unique element of the exhibition is an animated postcard, which can be viewed on several screens. On clear days, it is possible to climb the observation tower, which offers a beautiful panorama of the town. A tour of the castle cellars also provides an unforgettable experience.

In 2021, the Koźle Region Museum received an award in the Competition for the Best Tourist Product of the Opolskie Voivodeship – OROT Certificate.
