SMALL SCIENCE CENTER "SOWA" IN NYSA

We invite you to the "SOWA" Small Science Center at St. Jadwiga's Bastion in Nysa. The exhibition features engaging, interactive exhibits suitable for experimentation, play and learning for everyone.

Among the exhibits are devices such as a rotating table, mirror drawing, perfect asymmetry, rotating mirrors, quick memorization machines, hanging balls, bicycle tricks and a dice-hearing device.

The "Majsternia" workshop is a truly engaging space for building structures on your own.

Here, everyone will discover that they can think better than they think! Younger visitors can also enjoy a play zone equipped with various building blocks and toys, as well as a new space for organizing workshops (scientific, ecological, etc.) and birthday parties.

The creation of the "Discovery, Imagination, and Activity Zones – SOWA" is an initiative of the Minister of Education and Science. It is consistent with programs implemented by the Minister as part of the Social Responsibility of Science, aimed at popularizing and disseminating science and scientific research. The Minister awarded the Copernicus Science Centre a targeted grant to launch local activity zones in 2021–2023.

Since its foundation, the Copernicus Science Centre has promoted the idea of ​​learning based on independent exploration and discovery - experimentation. This method enables the expansion of knowledge and supports the development of future competencies, inspires, encourages collaboration and fosters curiosity, creativity, and a sense of agency. The project is implemented by the Nysa Community Center with the support of the Nysa Municipality.
