KDK CINEMA IN KRAPKOWICE

The cinema is located in the Cultural Centre building in Krapkowice. In 2012, the cinema joined the Art House and Local Cinema Network. The mission of art house cinemas is to promote quality cinema that can be discussed for countless hours. Bogusław Lewicki, film theorist and founder of Kino Adria in Łódź, is considered to be the pioneer. The network is formed by cinemas that have committed themselves to implementing a programme for the promotion of film culture. At the Krapkowice cinema, you can see films of very high artistic value. There is no mass commercial production here. They show niche films, ranging from comedies to dramas, thrillers and children's cartoons. Every film connoisseur will find something to suit their taste here.

In 2013, a new digital projector was purchased, allowing the cinema management to screen newer productions as well. Meanwhile, the old projector, which used to screen films on celluloid film reels, will serve connoisseurs of classic cinema.

Since 2005, the Krapkowice Film Club has been operating at the Krapkowice Cultural Centre. On the last Friday of every month, two films can be seen for the price of one. It is an ambitious cinema with unique films you won't find in most large cinemas.

The founders of the club are Dorota Piekarczyk and Grzegorz Podsiadło.

During the summer, the Krapkowice Cultural Centre invites you to an open-air cinema. The screenings are held in the nearby Magnolia Park.
