We invite you to stroll through the most interesting corners of Kędzierzyn-Koźle. A wealth of fascinating information, interesting architecture and natural monuments await you here!
Kędzierzyn-Koźle is a perfect place for hiking and cycling. We encourage you to visit the historical monuments, stroll through Koźle, Kędzierzyn and Sławięcice, and learn about the city's rich history by following the Urban Tourist Routes.
"Urban tourist routes as an integrated tourist product of the cities of the Polish-Czech border region" is a product which in 2011 won the award for the Best Tourist Product of the Opolskie Voivodship - OROT Certificate 2011 in the Trail category.
The created routes were implemented by Kędzierzyn-Koźle as part of a joint project with the cities of Bardo, Kłodzko and Świdnica in Poland and Česká Skalice and Přerov in the Czech Republic.
The project's goal was to expand the tourism offerings of participating partners through activities ensuring broad access to information. One of these activities was the designation and marking of tourist routes to facilitate city exploration for residents and tourists. Audio guides, available for loan at the Municipal Public Library in Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Market Square 3), complement the information boards describing specific points of interest.
Four trails have been designated in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Two of them cover the former Koźle area, the third runs through the old part of Kędzierzyn and the fourth runs through the Sławięcice estate with its famous historic park, which is one of the largest and most interesting parks in the Opolskie Voivodship.
