A historic forge and bakery in Kuniów
The village of Kuniów has the remnants of a 19th-Century forge and bakery. This cultural heritage is currently in the hands of private owners, who are elderly people. To ensure the preservation of these traditions, the Association for the Development of Kuniów decided to create a complex of regional-themed rooms named ”The Room of Regional Memory and Craft”, which includes a forge, a bakery, and a regional room. The forge will present the crafting of the “Kuniów Horseshoe” in an original furnace of clinker, using genuine 19th-Century tools. The bakery allows visitors to knead dough following the original recipe, put it in an old mould and bake “Kuniów bread” which can then be eaten at stylish tables among the historic artifacts. The Forge and Bakery are located next to the cycle route from Kluczbork to Opole.
