Additional information

The Church of the Mother of God, Help of All Christians, is the fourth church in the history of the Kluczbork Roman-Catholic Parish, with its roots dating back to the 13th Century. Its present Gothic-Revival form was erected between 1911 and 1913 in the southern part of the town, next to a large town park. It was consecrated on 1 June 1913 by Cardinal Jerzy Kopp from Wrocław. The high altar and the pulpit were created in the workshop of Schreiner, an artist from Munich, and the side altars were made by sculptor Frilhase from Erfurt. The central part of the high altar is in the form of a triptych, the central part of which features a collection of sculptures depicting the Patron of the church – the Mother of God with Baby Jesus, and two angels at her sides, lifting a crown over her head. The movable wings of the triptych are covered with bas-reliefs depicting scenes from the life of Mary and the Nativity. The beautiful stained-glass windows of the presbytery and the wings of the transept depicting saints were made in the workshop of Linnemann from Frankfurt am Main.
